Stuart McAlpine Miller, a contemporary artist with multiple successful exhibitions to his name, is coming to S&P Gallery in person, to showcase his latest collection Revelations: A Portrait of Magic in an exclusive solo exhibition, starting April 13th, 2022 and ending April 27th, 2022.

All proceeds from ticket sales for this event will go to Lumos Foundation; a charity that fights for every child’s right to a family by transforming care systems around the world. Lumos Foundation is an international charity striving for a future where every child is raised in a safe, loving home, supported by family to help them thrive.

Revelations: A Portrait of Magic will see this enchanting and exclusive collection of artworks that capture the artist’s exploration of characters from the iconic Wizarding World of Harry Potter, exploring their personalities and interpreting each character’s narrative in a new, darker light.

Focusing on the personalities of key characters from the Harry Potter series, this new series of artworks explores the lighter and darker aspects of their nature and portrays them in an exciting new light; weighing the good against the evil.

The artworks in this exhibition interpret the Wizarding World in the signature abstracted style of Stuart McAlpine Miller; a measured blend of his striking colour palettes, illustrative portraits and multi-layered imagery; delivering a compelling narrative that explores some of the deeper, darker themes of the story.

The objective of the artist was to create artworks that would resonate with adults that had grown up reading the Harry Potter books and watching the movies.

“I’m really proud of this work, it’s a new way for an adult audience to access and experience a darker interpretation of the Harry Potter works which will appeal to many age groups.”

“Revelations: A Portrait of Magic conveys the powerful and immemorial message of ‘good against evil’, whilst simultaneously challenging whether such a polarised dichotomy can indeed exist.”
