About her work, the artist says:
"The work of my career since the late seventies has been a monument to musicians; inspired by those I knew in New Orleans and whom I meet all the time in little clubs in every city I visit. These are artists who seldom reach fame and fortune but who devote themselves to their art form, Jazz. It is an ongoing project.
Original art is always about much more than image or colour, which can be reproduced in a print...there is something "living" about an original piece ... something of the artist's energy stays with it...even work hundreds of years old...When I go to museums and stand before the work of my masters (Modigliani, Matisse, Picasso) I can see them working and listen to their teaching...its always inspiring.
If my work can bring a smile, a warmth, a bit of joy; if it can radiate just a little of the energy of my subject, then I am gratified."
The print is hand numbered and accompanied by a certificate signed by the Master Printer and bearing a matching number to the print.
