Archipelago was inspired by the chain of islands linking the main part of the island of Bermuda with its western tail end, which is known as the parish of Somerset. Three generations of James Maconochie’s family lived there and the artist recalls long summers in the unspoiled and wild landscape provided by the clustered islands spreading across the Great Sound and petering out in the depths of the blue-black Atlantic.
Each print is hand signed by the artist and hand numbered.
