Angel of Lost Hearts
|Title||Angel of Lost Hearts|
|Paper Size (W x H)||11 x 23 ins|
Paul Greenwood's work is marked by its vivacity, colour and sense of spontaneity but Angel of Lost Hearts has a more romantic theme and embraces darker emotions than admirers of this artist's paintings would usually expect. It was painted as a reflection on the meaning of love and on the intricacies and endless variations of human relationships and the blue heart in the picture represents Paul himself.
Strongly coloured and powerfully conceived, Angel of Lost Hearts nevertheless manages to include many of the whimsical touches which are typical of Paul Greenwood's work. These range from the scarlet toenails right up to the rounded spectacles which might not be expected in a romantic musing of this kind but which will be familiar to admirers of Paul Greenwood’s quirky characters the world over.
Each print is hand signed by the artist and hand numbered.
