This stunning image depicts two bald-headed eagles, the symbol of the United States of America. The bald-headed eagle is the slimmest, arguably the most handsome and certainly the most mobile of the eagle family. Although only approximately 70 cm long, the bald headed eagle's wingspan can be as great as 200cm and the birds weigh up to 6kg. The bald-headed eagle can be easily distinguished from the rest of the eagle family on account of its dark brown body, white head, imperious gaze, and striking yellow hooked beak and claws.
