In this painting of his beautiful series of big cat limited editions, Cooling Off, Spencer Hodge has chosen to portray the power and elegance of a female Bengal Tiger. The Bengali is one of the many Tiger subspecies and is found principally in the rainforests of India. It has narrower and darker stripes than those of the South China Tiger and is now one of the most endangered species in the world, with only around 5000 believed to survive in the wild. The scene depicted is particularly unusual since tigers are the only cats which will go voluntarily into water.

Each print is hand signed by the artist and hand numbered.
