Wayne Branch's Morgan Lewis Vista is a Limited Edition Gouttelette Print.
Morgan Lewis is an 8 km long, totally unspoiled beach on the north-east coast of Barbados. The inspiration for ‘Morgan Lewis Vista’ came to Branch one morning after sunrise when he was in the area. He was looking for a majestic scene at the best time of the day so all the various elements aided him in identifying the scene.
The view is from the top of Cherry Tree Hill overlooking the Morgan Lewis area. The sun was behind the clouds and it had just rained so there was soft lighting. The colours are muted and cool, creating quite a challenge of infusing a painting with all these elements without sacrificing the ontological spirit of the place.
