Poppy

**Silk-Screen Art Print**

Poppy is one of a series of four beautiful silkscreen prints featuring floral images. The other images in the collection are entitled Tulip, Sunflower, and Camellia. Gerry Baptist was stimulated to create this remarkable series by the numerous floral sketches, paintings, and photographs which he has made over the years. Inspired by these, he began to sketch exuberant and very graphic pictures of flowers, omitting detail and concentrating instead on the play of ravishing colour and on the contrasting shapes of each very individual flower. The large and sumptuous colour areas in the resulting images are ideally suited to the powerful visual and print quality of the silkscreen.

Each print is hand signed by the artist and hand numbered.
